Review & Policies

Dual Submission Policy

AI4X has no formal proceedings; accepted abstracts are not a publication and you are free to publish the work elsewhere.

We welcome unpublished work, work under review elsewhere, or papers published in a peer-reviewed archival venue on or after 1 September 2026. Preprints and workshop papers (e.g., NeurIPS/ICML/ICLR workshops) are considered non-archival and unpublished: submit them as a 2-page abstract.

Policies

The conference programme will be published on OpenReview, including accepted abstract PDFs. Due to copyright restrictions, the full texts of journal articles will not be published; they will be referenced by DOI/URL. We will not submit the abstracts for Scopus/WoS indexing; previous editions were visible and citable in Google Scholar, we expect 2027 to be treated the same. Rejected and withdrawn submissions won’t be made public, except for the cases of academic ethics violations: citations of non-existent works, data falsification, and plagiarism of others’ work. All such cases are decided by the programme committee, not by an automated check, and the authors are given an opportunity to respond.

Submissions will be checked for non-existent references. Prompt injection attacks via the submitted papers and distributing malware inside supplementary software code are prohibited.

Use of Large Language Models (LLMs)

Authors and reviewers bear full responsibility for all content submitted under their name, including text and results generated by LLMs. LLMs cannot be credited as authors. LLM usage is not a mitigating circumstance in case of data falsification and plagiarism in the submitted paper.

We don’t mandate LLM usage disclosure – but we encourage it, especially if you did something smart and non-trivial as a way to share the experience with the community.
